Rohit came out in his customary opening position as MI were set a challenging 197 to win by RCB.

In the video that has gone viral, Virat could be seen walking across to the other side of the pitch when he greeted Rohit, who possibly took a single and the left-handed Ishan Kishan got back on strike.
Virat gently patted on Rohit's back to catch his attention, as the former MI captain quickly turned around to see who it was. On seeing his Team India team-mate Kohli, Rohit reciprocated with a thumbs-up gesture.

Ishan (69 off 34 balls) led the MI batting charts to give his team a flying start in run-chase. Kishan and Rohit (38 off 24 balls) added 101 runs for the opening partnership in 8.4 overs. Suryakumar Yadav returned to his best with a 19-ball 52 and skipper Hardik Pandya's 21 not out off 6 balls ensured MI raced home.

Orange Cap-holder Virat Kohli experienced a rare failure, dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah for 3 off 9 balls. Bumrah starred for MI with his spell of 5 for 21.
It was MI's second consecutive win after three defeats at the start of the season, while RCB's campaign slipped further with a fifth defeat in six matches.
