His popularity knows no bounds, as evidenced by the frequent instances of spectators invading the cricket field just to get close to him. These fans, driven by sheer adoration, often aim to touch Dhoni's feet – a gesture of deep respect in Indian culture.
The latest incident of a spectator intruding onto the field to bow in front of Dhoni occurred during the Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings match in Ahmedabad on Friday.

During the last over of CSK's chase while Dhoni was batting, a fan entered the field, causing a brief delay as security escorted him away.

Talking about the match, captain Shubman Gill cracked a blistering century while B Sai Sudharsan hit his maiden IPL ton as Gujarat Titans kept themselves in the play-offs race with a 35-run win.
Sudharsan (103 off 51 balls) matched skipper Gill (104 off 55 deliveries) stroke for stroke as the two openers notched up destructive centuries to propel GT to 231/3.
The home team's bowlers then stopped the defending champions for 196/8 despite fighting fifties from Daryl Mitchell (63) and Moeen Ali (56).
