NEW DELHI: In a rare turn of events, Royal Challengers Bangalore batter Ellyse Perry absolutely demolished the window of a display car during the Women's Premier League clash against UP Warriorz at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
The Perry colossal strike over the deep fence, hit the car, smashing the rear door window.
The incident took place in the penultimate over from Deepti Sharma when Perry muscled the ball over the deep mid-wicket fence.
The car, which was on a podium, came directly under the line of fire as the ball shattered the back door glass into pieces.
Soon after the strike, a stunned Perry put her hand on the head as the packed house at the Chinnaswamy erupted.
Perry went on to score a blistering 37-ball 58 before departing in the final over of the innings.
Perry and skipper Smriti Mandhana (50-ball 80) fifties powered RCB to 198 for 3 against the Warriorz.
