India's latest cricket star,
Dhruv Jurel
, linked up with his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals on Saturday and was accorded a guard of honour as welcome to the team hotel.
In a video shared by the Royals on social media, Jurel is seen entering the hotel as some of the staff lined up on either side of a red carpet and saluted the wicketkeeper-batsman as he walked through.

The gesture had its roots in the fact that Jurel's father, Nem Chand, is an ex-Havaldar of the Indian Army and fought the Kargil war in 1999. Later, he took voluntary retirement.
When Jurel scored his maiden half-century during India's recently-concluded Test series against England, he celebrated it with a 'salute' gesture on the field to dedicate it to his father.
The coming IPL season will be Jurel's third with the Rajasthan Royals.
The Royals begin their campaign with the home match against the Lucknow Super Giants in Jaipur on March 24.
