The two teams will have a chance to add another IPL title to their CVs when they meet to decide the winner of the 2024 edition. KRR go into the title clash as two-time winners. They clinched the title in 2012 and 2014 under the captiancy of Gautam Gambhir, who is incidentally the team's mentor this season.
The Sunrisers were crowned champions in 2016, which is their only triumph so far. They lifted the trophy with Australian opener David Warner at the helm.
SRH captain Cummins will have a chance to add to his already impressive CV as a captain, having led Australia during their title-winning campaigns in the World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup in 2023.
