NEW DELHI: Amid loud noise from the cheering fans at the Ekana Stadium, there seemed to be a miscommunication over who won the toss during the

Lucknow Super Giants vs Rajasthan Royals

IPL clash on Saturday evening.
As soon as hosts skipper KL Rahul flipped the coin and Sanju Samson called out heads, there was confusion over the call made by the Royals skipper.

Despite the coin falling in Samson's favour, it seemed Rahul was under the impression that he had won the toss and went ahead to talk to Ian Bishop, who was conducting the toss.
Seeing the miscommunication, match referee Amit Sharma, who was overseeing the proceedings, then stepped in pointing out that Samson was the actual toss winner.

Royals skipper Samson eventually decided to field against Lucknow in the 44th match of the season.
Both LSG and RR retained the same playing XIs from their respective previous matches.
Placed at the top of the table with 14 points in the bag, RR will look to continue with their surge and consolidate their position.
On the other hand, fourth-placed LSG have a chance to move up to the second position, provided they stop RR's juggernaut, which has witnessed the Sanju Samson-led side winning seven out of their eight matches so far.
Playing XIs
Lucknow Super Giants: Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul (c&wk), Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Nicholas Pooran, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Matt Henry, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, Yash Thakur.
Rajasthan Royals: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson (c&wk), Rovman Powell, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Avesh Khan, Sandeep Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal.
