In a display of bravery in Edmond, Oklahoma, a family cat named Binx emerged as an unexpected hero after saving Oakley, the family's 6-year-old Havanese dog, from a dangerous encounter with two coyotes. The incident took place in the family's backyard, where Oakley had been let out for a bathroom break.
The situation took a dangerous turn when two coyotes launched an attack on the small dog. However, the courageous feline leapt into action, jumping over the fence to confront the predators. The coyotes, taken aback by the cat's fearless charge, ran away from the spot. The video was captured by a security camera.
Take a look:
Lane Dyer, the owner of both pets, expressed his admiration for Binx's valiant act, noting how the cat fearlessly defended Oakley, whom she adores.
Following the rescue, Oakley required medical attention at Neel Veterinary Hospital, according to a report by the local news channel KFOR-TV. Although there were initial concerns that Oakley might lose a leg due to the attack, the resilient pup is now on the path to a full recovery, much to the relief of the Dyer family.
