Cummins has accounted for 13 wickets in 11 matches at an average of 30.54 in this edition.
But before SRH, Cummins played in the IPL for the Kolkata Knight Riders and was a part of the team that won the title in 2014.

On his birthday, a video of Cummins from June 2023 is going viral, in which he is talking about the IPL title win in 2014.

Cummins says, "I was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders, we won in 2014. A couple of days after the final we went back to Kolkata, went to the stadium, just to do a kind of a walking fanfare. And the stadium was packed. It was about 80-90 thousand people just waving back at the team and the streets were lined with a few hundred thousand people just to get a glimpse of the team. And it's just a different world."

"And then you know you back home and your missus doesn't even look at you. It's like hang on, I had half a million people two days ago (laughs)," Cummins added.

With 6 wins and 5 defeats from 11 matches, SRH are at the fourth spot in the points table and face Lucknow Super Giants in their next match on Wednesday.
