NEW DELHI: In what would be the most adorable moment on the internet today, Australian opening batter
Usman Khawaja
's daughter was spotted giving a hug to Pakistan batter
Babar Azam
ahead of the
Boxing Day Test
at MCG.
The video capturing Khawaja's daughter embracing Babar went viral on social media. It appears to be from a practice session, showcasing the heartwarming moment when the little one approached Babar to share a tender hug.
Pakistan, who suffered a crushing 360-run defeat inside four days at the first Test in Perth, included specialist off-spinner Sajid Khan in the 12-member squad for the second Test.
The touring side also replaced veteran stumper
Sarfaraz Ahmed
with Mohammad Rizwan.
Pakistan have been hit hard by injuries since the Perth Test with fast bowler Khurram Shahzad and their two leading spinners, Abrar Ahmed and Noman Ali, all ruled out of the Melbourne match.
Mohammad Nawaz will take the gloves, with Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali in contention for Shahzad's place in the attack alongside veteran Shaheen Shah Afridi and impressive newcomer Aamer Jamal.
With Ahmed and Ali sidelined, Sajid Khan is their only spin option.
