NEW DELHI: In preparation for the
ICC Men's T20 World Cup
, Sri Lankan bowlers will receive training from Pakistan cricket legend

. The former fast bowler arrived in Sri Lanka on Wednesday to lead a two-day training program for national players, as announced by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
During his coaching sessions, starting Thursday, Akram will also provide training to SLC High Performance Coaches (HPC) and coaches from major clubs.
“In total, Akram will conduct five sessions, covering the SLC pace academy, HPC, and major club coaches. He will also observe Sri Lanka’s national players’ preparation for the upcoming ICC Men’s
T20 World Cup
,” the SLC stated.
The board noted that this program will mark Sri Lanka Cricket’s initiative to bring in the required expertise to enhance the coaching strength of the SLC High Performance Center and the Major Club system in the country.
