Warmer workweek ahead in NY, NJ

NEW YORK (PIX11) --- Sunday starts cold before temperatures hit the 40s later in the day in the New York City area.

It will be clear and chilly before the warmer weather arrives for the workweek. Temperatures will be well above average for the first half of the week before becoming seasonable. It will be 50 degrees on Monday and Tuesday. The temp will reach 60 on Wednesday.

The temps dip back into the 40s later in the week.

A low-pressure system is expected to make its first impact Tuesday night. This will continue through Wednesday into Thursday morning before clearing out.
