Walk in Yonkers raises awareness of child sexual abuse prevention

YONKERS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- One in 10 children will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday, according to the New York State Children's Alliance.

Non-profit organization Yo Digo No Más (I Say No More) is collaborating with the Yonkers Public Schools District, the City of Yonkers, and Goya Cares to organize the third annual Walk Against Sexual Abuse of Our Children on Saturday, April 27.

The walk aims to raise awareness about sexual abuse against children and to break the cycle of silence through prevention and education.

The walk will start at City Hall in Yonkers at 11 a.m. and conclude at Eugenio Maria de Hostos MicroSociety School. Free food, music, and family activities will be provided for supporters.
