PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Virginia child got stuck inside a basket on Thursday, prompting first responders to come to his rescue. A TikTok of the incident quickly got over a million views in less than 24 hours.

According to Prince George County Fire and EMS, the incident took place on Thursday, June 7. Firefighters and emergency services responded to what officials called a "unique and heartwarming call."

According to officials, the "little explorer" was carefully and swiftly freed from the basket.

His mother, Ebony Chappell, posted a TikTok video of firefighters assessing the situation -- as well as a clip of what appears to be someone gently rocking the child in the basket to show just how stuck he was.

By Friday evening, this video had 1.3 million views and 87,000 likes.

In a follow-up video, Chappell shared a fun fact about the rescue: one of the EMTs present for this endearing rescue was also present at the same child's birth three years ago.

"It's like a full circle," Chappell said.
