Vikravandi bypoll: PMK fields C Anbumani

has fielded party vice-president

C Anbumani

as its candidate for

Vikravandi bypoll

. PMK founder

S Ramadoss

made an announcement in this regard on Saturday.
Anbumani called on Ramadoss at the latter's Thailavaram residence and sought his blessings.
Anbumani contested in Vikravandi in 2016 when PMK contested alone and lost the winning opportunity.

He secured 41,428 votes garnering 23.19% of the total polled votes.
BJP on Friday announced that PMK would contest the bypoll under the

National Democratic Alliance

.
DMK

has fielded Anniyur Siva as its candidate while Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) has fielded homoeopathy doctor Abinaya Ponnivalavan in the constituency.
AIADMK-DMDK combine is yet to decide on who will contest the bypoll.
