During a press conference, President Joe Biden momentarily confused terror group Hamas with the term "opposition" when asked about ongoing hostage negotiations with Israel, but quickly corrected himself, clarifying the reference to Hamas.

US President Joe Biden, during a latest press conference, appeared confused after he referred to terror group Hamas as 'Opposition'. Biden's mumbling speech, soon after his address on promoting the new border security bill, was widely shared on social media.
The US President was asked about the ongoing hostage negotiations between Hamas and Israel, to which he responded saying, "There has been a response from the opposition."
Biden corrected himself after the reporter asked if he meant 'Hamas'.
"There is some movement, and I don’t wanna, I don't wanna, let me choose my words — there's some movement. There's been a response from the, uh, there's been a response from the opposition, but um...", Joe Biden said.
Sounding confused about what he was supposed to say, Biden suddenly looked up to his left while getting much-needed guidance.
"Yes, I'm sorry, from Hamas," he added, as the reporter prompted the terror group's name.
This was not the first time the US President made a gaffe, which later went viral on social media.
Biden is already the oldest President to serve in office, and if he were elected to serve another four years, Biden would leave office at the age of 86.
