MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A furry thief was caught on video attempting to steal a backpack in Central Park on April 20.
The video posted to Reddit showed a man and a child fishing inside the Manhattan park. At the bottom of the video, you see a raccoon lurking around 7 p.m., the person who filmed the video told PIX11 News.
The raccoon grabs a backpack sitting by the rocks before the person filming the video gets the attention of the man, who wins a tug-of-war battle with the bag against the raccoon.
The would-be bandit is seen at the end of the video, leaving the crime scene empty-handed.
