Telecom provider Vodafone-Idea has taken a strategic step towards its commitment to enable customers to thrive in the ever-evolving digital world. The company has announced that it has upgraded its network capacity across four key markets -- Kerala, Karnataka, Punjab and Haryana. The company claimed that the increased network capacity will provide over three crore Vi customers with a superior network experience and faster speed while they adopt digital services to work, study, socialise and access entertainment.

How Vi upgraded its network infrastructure across four circles

Punjab· Upgraded 4G spectrum bandwidth in LTE 2500 from 10 MHz to 20 MHz across 1200+ sites , 3G shutdown & refarming 4G to enhance LTE 2100 from 5 MHz to 10 MHz & LTE 1800 from 10 MHz to 15 MHz· Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Kharar, Zirakpur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot, Khanna, Moga and Bathinda
Karnataka· Upgraded the spectrum bandwidth in LTE 2100 MHz band from 5 MHz to 10 MHz across 1000+ sites· Mysuru, Mandya, Kolar, and Tumkur
Haryana· Upgraded the spectrum bandwidth in LTE 900 MHz band from 5 MHz to 10 MHz· Sirsa, Kurukshetra, Shahbad

Vi offers various services such as jobs, education, entertainment, leisure, lifestyle and more for customers. The teleco’s customers can also explore Vi Movies & TV which provides access to 400+ live TV channels, more than 60,000 hours of cinema and access to all leading OTT platforms for free. The company still claims to focus on its capital investments in its 17 priority circles to expand high-speed broadband network coverage and capacity.
