Veteran actress

Savita Malpekar recently shared a distressing experience she faced with the

channel head

during the production of the show

Laxmi Vs Saraswati

in 2013. In a candid interview with the

YouTube

channel, she recounted the challenges she encountered while working on the popular Marathi series.
The show, based on rural life, required Savita to learn the Koli language diligently. Despite the widespread appreciation, the channel head's behavior on set became a source of considerable trouble for her. In the interview, Savita disclosed, "I faced a lot of difficulties from the channel head during 'Laxmi Vs Saraswati.' The

show

was well-received, but the channel head made my life miserable. I was given a hard time, and it started affecting me emotionally."
She went on to reveal the extent of the harassment, stating, "I was made to wear uncomfortable sarees, and the channel head would taunt me regularly. I had to endure insults daily. They made me wear a saree every day, and I had to shoot in that attire for 18 consecutive days. I had to wear a saree even during cold weather, and it was challenging for me."
Savita expressed her dissatisfaction with the treatment she received, highlighting the lack of respect and understanding from the channel head.

She added, "He would say 'Do you want to know which channel I work for?' Let me tell you my story from the beginning. It was tough. There's a limit to endurance, and I had to face it. During the cold, I had to wear a transparents saree for 18 consecutive days. After that, I managed to overcome it, and then my assistant would send my photos to the channel head. This caused trouble for him. In this way, I faced difficulties and made the channel head feel what I went through. It's not easy. I told him that you won't find anyone in the industry who would tolerate this. He shouldn't think that he can take anyone out of the industry. I faced challenges, and now, when you look at me, you'll see where I am. I'm sharing this incident from 2013."

The actress concluded the interview by stating that such incidents are a part of the industry, and individuals should not be deterred. She encouraged aspiring actors to stay strong and not let such experiences hinder their progress.
