AGRA: Samajwadi Party chief
Akhilesh Yadav
on Saturday accused the
UP govt
of trying to hide its
failure
in the
Hathras stampede
that killed 121 people by making "
minor arrests
". He questioned the way action was being taken against "innocent people" and demanded a judicial probe on the way arrests were being made. He said these arrests are a "conspiracy in themselves". Akhilesh Yadav, in a post on his social media handle, said, "It looks like such accidents will continue to happen since the state govt does not seem to have learnt from the administrative lapses that led to the stampede." Meanwhile,
Bahujan Samaj Party
(BSP) chief
Mayawati
demanded strict action against Bhole Baba and others involved in the Hathras incident.
