UP CM Yogi Adityanath prepares future action plans, reviews key initiatives

conducted a

review meeting

with

key departments

on Thursday to evaluate the progress of various initiatives and schemes.
He instructed all departments to utilize the funds allocated to them under the current Budget, as the first quarter of 2024-25 is coming to a close. The finance department has been tasked with reviewing departmental expenditure and streamlining fund allocation and expenditure procedures.

, the CM emphasized the need for field officers to set targets, which will influence their postings and promotions.

He also directed all additional chief secretaries and principal secretaries to maintain effective communication and coordination with departmental ministers and to avoid unnecessarily delaying public interest cases.
The CM instructed basic education officers to conduct weekly inspections of Kasturba Balika Vidyalayas, ensuring the provision of food, cleanliness, and security. He also instructed that headmasters and teachers in all council schools must ensure that students wear uniforms, and funds should be promptly transferred to beneficiaries. The '

School Chalo Abhiyan

' should be accelerated, and the department of education should prepare academic calendars in all educational institutions to complete necessary examinations by May 10, as per the instructions.

The construction of Saharanpur and Fatehpur sports colleges should be expedited to enable admissions from the next session, as instructed the CM.
Addressing the ongoing heatwave, CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized the need to avoid unnecessary power cuts and promptly resolve issues such as burnt transformers and fallen wires. The relief commissioner's office has been instructed to remain active 24x7 to handle incidents like fire, excessive rain, drought, snake bites, and lightning during the upcoming months.

In preparation for the monsoon season, the CM ordered the cleaning and de-silting of all drains, as well as increased cleanliness and fogging in slums and to control communicable diseases spread, which are more likely to occur during the rainy season.
The CM also stressed the importance of preventing overloading of vehicles engaged in mining work and ensuring that there is no artificial shortage of construction materials like sand and ballast during the monsoon season when mining work is suspended.
The CM instructed officials to adhere to quality standards in the construction of medical colleges under the one district-one medical college programme, with weekly reviews of the work.
Women shelter homes should be made functional at the commissionerate level and expanded to all 75 districts in a phased manner, with careful selection of NGOs for 'Sanrakshan Grihas' and surprise inspections by officials, as per CM's orders.
CM also emphasized the creation of nodes at Agra and Prayagraj under the Amritsar-Kolkata industrial corridor, with the concerned departments ensuring adequate land availability and continuous communication with the Centre. The industrial development department has been directed to review all cases where industrial units are receiving government incentives to set up in UP.
Prompt preparation of beautification plans for Brij ghat and Ganga ghat, and for all eligible families to be given 'gharaunis' by the end of the year under the Varasat scheme was also ordered in the meeting.
