Prachi Nigam, the UP Board Class 10 topper who was trolled for her facial hair, made an appearance in an Instagram influencer’s new video as she delivered a powerful message for women. Although Prachi scored an exceptional 98.50 per cent, she trended on social media for her appearance after the UP Board results were declared on April 20.
Anish Bhagat, the influencer who posted the “glow-up” video featuring Prachi, intended to send across a stern message with it: “I hope this shuts the trolls once and for all.”
As the video began, Anish said, “Today, I am travelling to Mahmudabad to meet someone we should all be proud of. She topped her boards in 55 lakh students. However, most people could only focus on how she looks. Instead of being praised, she was bullied by the entire nation. Why do most women have to experience this in their lives? So, I decided to give her a glow-up that the whole nation deserves to see. Let’s get her to look like her best self.”
As Anish arrived at Prachi’s doorstep, he was greeted with a big smile while he presented her with a flower.
“Are you ready for a glow-up,” Anish asked Prachi, to which she said: “Yes, I am.”
Now, there’s a twist here, as there was no glow-up except for some mascara and nailpaint. Just Prachi, who flashed a million-dollar smile as she said: “I look the same. Dear women, don’t try to fix something that was never broken.”
“This is for anyone and everyone filled with insecurities and has been waiting for a glow up. You all deserve to treat yourself a little better. Don’t be too hard on yourself,” Anish said in the caption of his post.

Prachi, a student of Sita Bal Vidya Mandir Inter College, Sitapur was ecstatic after the results were declared, but said during an interview with BBC News Hindi: “A few lesser marks in exams wouldn't have made me popular on social media, and I wouldn't have faced such trolling for my facial hair.”
"... But, a few people even defended me and shut off trolls by educating them that such facial hair in girls is often a result of hormonal changes," she added.
Prachi's father, Chandra Prakash Nigam, had said that their family was upset about the trolling but he did not pay much attention to it.
During the interview, Prachi Nigam said she aspires to be an engineer in the future and is focused on her dreams.
