Vishnu Deo Sai stated on Sunday that
Union Home Minister
Amit Shah has assured him of a strong fight against the
Maoist menace
in the state.
Upon his return to Raipur airport on Sunday evening after his meeting with the Union Home Minister in Delhi, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister told reporters that Shah has taken the recent Naxal activities in Bastar seriously and has pledged robust measures against it.
Sai highlighted that the meeting with top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, was a courtesy call after assuming office as the chief minister of Chhattisgarh.
When asked about the level of support from the Center for Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister stated that it is a government with a double engine, ensuring no shortage of developmental resources.
Regarding the observance of Good Governance Day on Monday, the Chief Minister mentioned that December 25 marks Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birthday, celebrated as Good Governance Day. This time, pending bonuses for the past two years will be disbursed to approximately 12 lakh farmers in Chhattisgarh.
