NEW DELHI: Panic ensued in a village in Uttar Pradesh’s
Pilibhit
district after an adult tiger ventured into a man's house on Monday night. The incident took place in Athkona village which is located nearly 20km from Pilibhit Tiger Reserve forest. The tiger, reported to be injured, climbed onto a wall and sat there. Videos of the tiger have been shared widely on the social media platforms.
As news of the tiger spread, people from nearby areas have also reached there to see the majestic animal. Forest department officials reached the village around 5am on Tuesday after being informed about the incident. They have placed a net around the wall, and efforts are underway to capture it.
