Uber starts offering all-electric rides in NYC

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Uber will now be offering all-electric rides around New York City, the company announced Monday.

Riders can now choose the option Uber Comfort Electric. Rides will be offered from Teslas, Polestars or Ford Mustang Mach-Es, according to Uber.

The current price for Uber Comfort Electric runs between the price for the Uber Comfort and Uber Black options.

The same options for comfort rides, like setting a temperature and conversation preferences, are available for Uber Comfort Electric.

Uber committed to becoming a zero-emissions mobility in the U.S., Canada and Europe by 2023, the company said.
