Two children found dead inside New Jersey home: police

LAKEWOOD, N.J. (PIX11) – Two children were found dead inside a New Jersey home on Tuesday, according to authorities.

Lakewood police confirmed to PIX11 News that it's investigating the deaths of two toddlers in a Shenandoah Drive house. The children were two girls between the ages of 2 and 3, sources told PIX11 News.

The girls were found in a bathtub, possibly stabbed, per sources.

Authorities have not confirmed the names of the children or their relationship. The Ocean County prosecutor's office is also investigating.

A woman was taken into custody in connection with the investigation, according to multiple reports.
