municipal corporation council approved the budget estimates for Rs.346 crore for 2024-2025 at a special meeting held at Sri Venkateswara university senate hall in the city on Thursday.

trust board chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy who took part in the council meeting as a special invitee underlined that the approved budget estimates reflect the council's commitment for the comprehensive development of the temple city.
Earlier, deputy mayor Bhumana Abhinay Reddy proposed to provide names to the newly developed five masterplan roads with a spiritual touch and the council unanimously approved the proposal.
While the newly developed road adjacent to the TTD administrative building has been named as Candadai Ramanuja Iyengar marg, the newly laid 40 feet road linking
Sarojini Devi
road to Nehru municipal school grounds has been named as Achyuta Devaraya marg.
Three other newly developed roads in the city were named as Vaikhanasa Agama marg, Pancharatra Agama marg and
Kanaka
Dasu marg.
Meanwhile, the Tirupati civic body has allocated Rs.1.99 crore to execute repairs at the Telugu Ganga pump house on a war footing.
Another major allocation of Rs.34.6 crore was made for payments to the 1557 odd outsourcing workers.
