Varma reached the 1000-run landmark in 33 innings, just two short of Tendulkar and Gaikwad (31 innings), who equalled Sachin's record to become joint-fastest in 2022, followed by Suresh Raina (34 innings),
Rishabh Pant
(35 innings) and
Devdutt Padikkal
(35 innings) on the list.
