Three allegedly shoot fireworks from car sunroof in Nassau County: police

NASSAU COUNTY, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Three individuals are facing charges for allegedly shooting fireworks out of the sunroof of a vehicle in Nassau County on July 8.

The suspects, 19-year-old Frederick Taveras Hernandez, 18-year-old Justin Padilla, and 19-year-old Fernando Aristides, were arrested at around 2:10 a.m.

An officer of the Nassau County Police Department observed the vehicle shooting fireworks traveling northbound on the Meadowbrook State Parkway, police said.

The officer conducted a traffic stop around exit M2 and arrested the three on reckless endangerment and unlawfully possession fireworks charges. Hernandez was also issued numerous traffic summons.
