is not new. Amazon has often been called out on
social media
for delivering ‘fake’ products. In one such case, a popular X user has claimed that he got a fake iPhone from the e-commerce giant.
Social media personality “Gabbar Singh” claimed that he received a
fake iPhone 15
from Amazon and shared a screenshot.
“Waah @amazonIN delivered a Fake iPhone 15. Seller is Appario. Tagged with “Amazon choice” No cable in the box. Total Dabba. Has anyone faced similar issue?” he said in a post.
Within hours, the post received much attention and at the time of writing this report, it was seen by about a million people, eliciting a response from the e-commerce giant.
“@GabbbarSingh We're sorry to know that you received an incorrect product in the package. Kindly fill in your details here: https://amzn.to/3wsqbs2, we'll get back to you with an update in 6-12 hours time,” the company said.
“Have filled the form. Pls initiate a return,” Gabbar Singh said, to which the company responded, “Thank you for confirming. Please wait for 6-12 hours and our Social Media team will get back to you with a resolution via email. Your patience is appreciated.”
