Thieves steal $80K in jewelry from Chinatown store: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Two suspects allegedly stole $80,000 worth of jewelry from a Chinatown business last month, police told PIX11 News on Tuesday.

The bandits broke into a jewelry store located at 75 East Broadway on March 10, at 1:00 a.m., according to authorities. After the suspects stole thousands of dollars in jewelry, one fled in a taxi, authorities said.

Investigators released the suspect's descriptions to the public. The first suspect was last seen wearing a fur winter hat and grey vest. The other suspect was last seen wearing a fur winter hat and a yellow protective jacket, authorities said.
