The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has initiated the "One Vehicle, One FASTag" program, streamlining toll collection to prevent misuse of FASTags across multiple vehicles or vice versa. NHAI has mandated that FASTags lacking complete KYC will be blocked post-January 31, aligning with RBI guidelines.
To confirm your FASTag's KYC status, follow these steps:
- Visit the dedicated customer web portal: https://fastag.ihmcl.com.
- Log in using your registered mobile number and password or opt for OTP validation.
- Navigate to the Dashboard Menu, select "My Profile," and view your KYC status.
For pending KYC, proceed as follows:
- In the "My Profile" page, locate the 'KYC' sub-section.
- Click on 'KYC,' select your "Customer Type," and fill in mandatory fields with required ID Proof and Address Proof documents.
- Upload a passport-size photo and address details per the Address Proof.
- Confirm document authenticity and initiate the KYC verification process.
- Ensure a hassle-free process by following these steps to check and update your FASTag KYC status through the IHMCL customer portal.
Documents accepted for KYC process
Required KYC documents include the vehicle's Registration Certificate (RC), a passport-size photo of the owner, and specific KYC documents based on the vehicle owner's category.
