Jurel, 23, turned the match on its head with his 90 after he lifted India from 177-7 in their first innings to 307 on day three.
India won the fourth Test by five wickets after they pulled off a tricky chase of 192 on day four in Ranchi, with wicketkeeper-batsman Jurel (39) and
Shubman Gill
(52) in an unbeaten stand of 72.
India had slipped to 120-5, but Jurel and Shubman remained calm as the hosts took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series after losing the opener.
The rising Indian star took to social media platform X, speaking his heart out by thanking skipper
Rohit Sharma
and coach
Rahul Dravid
for showing faith in him.
'Thank you Rohit bhaiya, Rahul sir for believing in this boy," Jurel posted on X.

India's five-wicket victory on a spiteful track in Ranchi was not really a cakewalk, thanks to England's never-say-die spin attack.
With this win, Rohit's team also consolidated their second place, behind New Zealand, in the World Test Championship standings.
This was India's 17th consecutive Test series win at home, where they have not lost a series since an Alastair Cook-led England bested them in 2012.
