NEW YORK (PIX11) – Sunday will bring temperatures in the mid-80s across the tri-state area, but temps will heat up midweek with some wet weather.
Sunday will bring a mix of sun and clouds. There is still a chance of a spot shower this afternoon north and west of the city.
Monday brings a chance of a stray shower as a weak low and trough develops. Still expect breaks of sun throughout the day.
Tuesday is even warmer with highs that could reach the upper-80s, particularly in the Newark and Jersey City area. It will feel hot and will become more humid due to rising dew points.
Sunshine will continue throughout Tuesday. Wednesday brings in more humidity and hotter temperatures that could reach the mid-90s. These very hot temperatures will be short-lived with the passage of a cold front by Wednesday evening. This will kick up some late-day showers, possibly a thunderstorm, that should clear out by Thursday morning.
Thursday and Friday will bring in pleasant temperatures in the mid-70s before it warms back up into the low 80s on Saturday.
