NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Expect a slight boost in temperature today as winds switch over to a west and southwest direction.
Afternoon highs will reach the upper 40s to low 50s. It will be quite blustery again, however, so it could feel colder at times. Gusts over 30 mph are possible. A brief rain shower is possible as well, especially in the Hudson Valley and Connecticut.
Fortunately, the week ahead promises lots of sunshine. Look for conditions will continue warming up Monday and Tuesday. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the low and mid-60s, and some locations could flirt with 70 degrees on Tuesday.
Cooler conditions are possible on Wednesday and Thursday as a stationary front settles just to our south.
