The state government has decided to postpone the Group II exams to December following discussions with aspirants
HYDERABAD: Keeping with the demand of
aspirants
, the state govt on Friday
postponed
the
Group II exams
to
Dec
. They were earlier scheduled to be held on Aug 7 and 8.
The decision was taken following deputy chief minister
Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu
's meeting with Group II candidates at the secretariat.
"It is hereby informed that the Commission having deliberated on the proximity of examination dates between various recruitments has decided to reschedule the Group II Exams.
The dates on which the Group II exam would be conducted in the month of Dec would be announced later," a release issue by the
Telangana
Public Service Commission, later in the day, stated.
Meanwhile, post his meeting with aspirants, Bhatti said that in three months, 54,000
vacant posts
have been filled by the govt. "The CM stated that the sooner Telangana
youth
get jobs, the better. We are answerable to our conscience as we made an election promise," he added.
The deputy CM also advised youth, who've been protesting for postponement of Group II exams, not to fall into the trap of people with vested interests. "If you threaten or resort to blackmail at the instance of some selfish persons, you will get entangled in cases and ultimately you alone will suffer," he said. While Bhatti said that the job calendar will be announced after identifying vacant posts and
competitive exams
will be held without overlap, the unemployed youth called for a revision in the number of posts.
