Teenager shot on dance floor at Bronx party: NYPD

BELMONT, Bronx (PIX11)  – A teenager was shot at a large party in the Bronx in the early hours of Sunday, police said. 

The 18-year-old was on the dance floor at a party at Belmont Avenue between East 186th and East 187th Streets around 2:18 a.m., according to the NYPD. He felt pain and looked down to realize he was shot in the torso, police said.

The teenager was rushed to an area hospital and likely to survive, police said. His suspected shooter had not been caught Sunday morning, police said. 

The shooting was inside a rental party venue with about 200 people inside, police said.
