Teenager crossing street hit, killed after 2 cars collide in Brooklyn: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A 14-year-old boy was hit and killed by a car during a two-vehicle crash in Brooklyn on Saturday, according to police.

Police told PIX11 News that around 6 p.m., a call came in of a person hit by a car after an accident around East 81st Street and Glenwood Road. After further investigation, the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad discovered that car number one hit the second car involved, spinning and hitting Christian Antoine, 14, crossing the street.

Antoine was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries but did not survive, according to police. Rayan Salmon, 45, was the driver of vehicle one and was arrested on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Police said both drivers were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries.
