Teen stabbed outside high school in NYC

MARBLE HILL, Manhattan (PIX11) – A 16-year-old boy was stabbed on his way to school in Manhattan on Wednesday morning, sources tell PIX11 News.

The teen was stabbed once in the abdomen on Terrace and Tibbett Avenues near the John F. Kennedy Educational Campus just after 8:45 a.m., according to police and fire officials.

Sources tell PIX11 News that the teen was a student at the John F. Kennedy Educational Campus and was on his way to school when he was stabbed. He was still able to get himself to the campus where he was helped by school safety agents.

The 16-year-old was transported to a nearby hospital before EMS arrived. Police say they’re still investigating what led up to the stabbing.
