MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A teenager was shot in the back at a Manhattan NYCHA complex hours after a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in SoHo, police said.
A gunman opened fire near the NYCHA Amsterdam Houses on West 62nd Street and struck the 17-year-old boy in the back at around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, according to the NYPD. The teen was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition was unclear.
The shooter ran off after the incident and remained at large, as of Wednesday.
The incident happened hours after a 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in the head on a SoHo street and two teens were stabbed in Williamsburg on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
There have been no arrests in either incident.
