Teen injured after hitting beam while subway surfing in Queens: sources

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A teenager was injured while subway surfing in Queens on Sunday, sources told PIX11 News.

It happened on a southbound No. 7 train near Roosevelt Avenue and 111th Street. Witnesses told police they saw the 14-year-old boy subway surfing, according to authorities.

The teenager hit a beam while subway surfing, knocking him unconscious, sources said. He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst for his injuries, according to authorities.

Three of his friends admitted they were subway surfing, sources said.
