Teen, 17, stabbed to death outside Queens subway station: NYPD

SUNNYSIDE, Queens (PIX11) – A 17-year-old girl was fatally stabbed outside of a Queens subway station Wednesday night, according to the NYPD.

The stabbing happened near the 46 Street-Bliss Street subway station in Sunnyside around 9:25 p.m., police said. A knife was seen lying on the ground at the crime scene.

The motive behind the stabbing is not clear. A person of interest was taken into custody at the Flushing-Main Street subway station, which is the end of the No. 7 subway line, according to authorities.

It's not known if the suspect and victim knew each other. No charges have been filed as of Thursday morning.
