TCS launches 'AI Experience Zone' for its employees to create AI-ready workforce

) has unveiled its new '

AI Experience Zone

' with the goal of creating one of the world's largest AI-ready workforces, reports IANS. In an effort to enhance the proficiency of its employees in artificial intelligence (AI) and

generative AI

(GenAI), the company has already trained over 150,000 employees in the foundational skills of Generative AI.

Head of TCS AI.Cloud Unit, Siva Ganesan, stated, "Through the AI Experience Zone, we are empowering our associates with the ability to harness the transformative potential of GenAI through hands-on experience." He also highlighted the collaboration aspect of the zone, mentioning that associates from different parts of the world can come together to find solutions for specific problems.
The AI Experience Zone provides TCS employees with the opportunity to explore and experiment with cutting-edge GenAI-powered applications. The company ensures that all necessary guardrails are in place and Responsible AI principles are upheld. Dr. Harrick Vin, Chief Technology Officer, TCS, emphasized the significance of GenAI in their strategy, stating, "By harnessing the potential of GenAI across our operations, we aim to set new benchmarks in innovation, efficiency, and client success."
The zone facilitates experimentation with open-source technologies and key large language models from industry giants such as Amazon Web Services, Google, and Microsoft. Employees can gain experience in using these tools through various use cases like content creation, information discovery, and task automation. The company also provides tutorials covering essential GenAI concepts to enhance employees' knowledge.
