Curtis Campher walks in with Ireland in a spot of bother.

Mohammad Amir to Paul Stirling, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Catastrophic start from Ireland but a more than perfect start for Pakistan here. Mohammad Amir comes in from over the stumps and just shortens the length a bit, bowling it with the wobble seam and angling it away from middle and leg. Harry Tector is the new man in.

Shaheen Afridi to Lorcan Tucker, OUT! EDGED AND GONE! A double whammy for Shaheen Afridi inside the first over and Ireland are 2 for 2 with only five balls played. Shaheen pitches this one right up on the off stump line and gets the ball to go on with the angle rather shape back in. Done with the pre-match proceedings and it is now time to get the match underway! The two umpires are out in the middle and the players of Pakistan are seen taking their places on the field. It will be the usual duo of Andy Balbirnie and skipper Paul Stirling that will open the innings for Pakistan. Shaheen Afridi has been handed the new ball and is raring to go. Let's play...

We are just a few minutes away from the start of the game but first, the match officials walk out to the middle and they are followed by the two sets of players who will line up for their respective national anthems. It will be the national anthem of Ireland first followed by that of Pakistan.

The Irish skipper, Paul Stirling says that they would have bowled first as well and now will look to put runs on the board. Adds that they did manage to beat Pakistan leading up to the World Cup and didn't go on to win the series but this is a World Cup game and the feeling is different. Informs that they have one change in the side as Ben White comes in for Craig Young.

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan says that they will bowl first as the pitch has been under covers for three days. He adds that as a professional you need to prepare for each game and look to win it. Ends by informing that unfortunately Naseem Shah is out and Abbas Afridi comes in to replace him.

Ireland (Playing XI) - Paul Stirling (C), Andy Balbirnie, Lorcan Tucker (WK), Harry Tector, Curtis Campher, George Dockrell, Gareth Delany, Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, Joshua Little, Ben White (In for Craig Young).

Pakistan (Playing XI) - Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Saim Ayub, Babar Azam (C), Fakhar Zaman, Usman Khan, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Shaheen Afridi, Abbas Afridi (In for Naseem Shah), Haris Rauf, Mohammad Amir.

TOSS - The flip of the coin lands in favour of Pakistan. Babar Azam decides to BOWL first.

Ireland remain winless in Group A, and they will be motivated to finish on a high. They hope to exploit Pakistan's current lack of confidence and vulnerability at critical moments, aiming for a collective effort.

This leaves Pakistan to introspect and review their T20 performance. However, their immediate task is to overcome the Irish challenge. Ireland had previously defeated Pakistan in a bilateral match leading up to the T20 World Cup. If the match proceeds as planned, both teams in green will be contesting fiercely for a conclusive win.

Arch-rivals India and co-hosts USA have already secured the two spots for the Super Eight stage from Group A.

Babar Azam's Pakistan will aim to regain some pride when they face an underperforming Ireland in their final Group A match at Lauderhill, Florida.
