Done with the pre-match proceedings and it is now time to play! The two umpires are out in the middle and they are followed by the players of Namibia who take their places on the field. It will be the duo of Naseem Khushi and Kashyap Prajapati to open the innings for Oman. Ruben Trumpelmann has been handed the new ball and he is ready to speed in. Let's play...

We are almost ready for the start of the game but first, the two sets of players will lineup for their respective national anthems. It will be the national anthem of Oman first followed by the national anthem of Namibia.

PITCH REPORT - Matthew Hayden is pitchside. He says that there is a bit of wind coming in from the East coast and in general, the boundaries are small all across the ground. Morgan joins him and says that the pitch will get slower as the game goes on and the pacers will use the slower balls more and more.

The skipper of Oman, Aqib Ilyas says they will look to set a good target on board and put pressure on Namibia. Adds that playing Namibia before the tournament would surely help them as it gives a good idea of the opponents strength and weakness. Metions that all the planning has been done and it now time to execute their plans.

Namibia's captain, Gerhard Erasmus says that they will bowl first due to the rain around and will look to gather some information early on. Adds that they have prepared really well and will look to showcase that now. Adds that it is a good thing that they have played against Oman recently and ends by saying that you need to execute well to earn points.

Oman (Playing XI) - Kashyap Prajapati, Naseem Khushi (WK), Aqib Ilyas (C), Zeeshan Maqsood, Khalid Kail, Ayaan Khan, Mohammad Nadeem, Mehran Khan, Shakeel Ahmed, Kaleemullah, Bilal Khan.

Namibia (Playing XI) - Nikolaas Davin, Michael Van Lingen, Jan Frylinck, Gerhard Erasmus (C), Malan Kruger, JJ Smit, David Wiese, Zane Green (WK), Ruben Trumpelmann, Bernard Scholtz, Tangeni Lungameni.

TOSS - The coin lands in favor of Namibia and they have decided to BOWL first.

Though Namibia have aggressive ball-strikers up top too in Nico Davin and JP Kotze, they also have greater reserves of late hitting power in David Wiese and JJ Smit which allows them to consolidate and then capitalise at the death

Namibia skipper Gerhard Erasmus has played in every official T20 match between these two teams, going back to the 2012 Global Qualifier when he played as a keeper at the age of 15

Only seven of those games were under lights, though the trend holds true, and any dew factor is likely to be moot given the passing thunderstorms expected to roll through

Kensington Oval has heavily favoured teams batting first in T20Is, only 7 of 23 chases successful despite a modest average first innings score of 156

Both Oman and Namibia will look at this game as a must-win if they're to have any hope of staging an improbable break-out from Group B, with matches against Scotland, England and Australia to come the going's unlikely to get easier as the group progresses
