NEW DELHI: Ex-Indian cricketer

Harbhajan Singh

has expressed his opinion that India hold a favourable position for the upcoming match ahead of the eagerly anticipated

T20 World Cup 2024

encounter between India and Pakistan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.
This perspective comes as India enter the game following an 8-wicket victory over Ireland, while Pakistan face the challenge of bouncing back from a narrow super-over defeat to the US in their last outing at this prominent tournament.

Harbhajan highlighted the advantage India gain from having prior experience playing at the New York venue, in contrast to Pakistan, whose recent game was played on a significantly flatter pitch.
"India will have an advantage because they have already played on this ground and Pakistan are coming into this game after playing on a flat pitch," Harbhajan told ANI.
At 43, Harbhajan remains insightful about the game, pointing out that India's current form is another factor that could tilt the balance in their favour.

"It will be a big challenge for Pakistan to settle in this condition after losing against the US. So, India have the advantage and they are playing well also," he added.

Harbhajan also identified key players who could influence the outcome of the India-Pakistan clash. "

Jasprit Bumrah

and

Suryakumar Yadav

will make the maximum impact in the upcoming match against Pakistan. These two players are match-winners," Harbhajan added, attributing their abilities to influence high-stakes matches.
Furthermore, he advocated for the inclusion of spinner

Kuldeep Yadav

in the lineup against Pakistan, saying, "Kuldeep Yadav is a wicket-taker and has variations so he should play. I think

Axar Patel

was included in the playing eleven since India needed a batting option in the 8th place."
