Australia vs Bangladesh, Super 8 T20 World Cup 2024: Former champions Australia will do well to not take the plucky Bangladesh team lightly when the two sides meet on Friday in their 'Super 8s' match of the ongoing T20 World Cup. If Bangladesh's upset 4-1 series win against Australia in 2021 is something to go by, they won't leave anything to chance, especially in subcontinent-like Caribbean conditions that suit the Bengal Tigers. Given the expected slowness of the pitch, Australia may place more emphasis on the role of leg-spinner Adam Zampa and part-time spinners like Glenn Maxwell and Travis Head. They might also consider retaining left-arm spinner Ashton Agar, who can contribute with the bat as well, from their previous group match against Scotland. But Bangladesh are set to be tested by Australia's dangerous fast-bowling attack led by Mitchell Starc, with Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood likely to return to the eleven after a much-deserved rest against Scotland.
