MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A migrant man who was allegedly involved in the group attack on two NYPD officers in Times Square last month was indicted Tuesday in connection with the incident, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

The suspect, 24-year-old Yohenry Brito, pleaded not guilty, according to his attorney. Charges related to the assault on the cops were heard by a grand jury Tuesday. The charges remain sealed.

Fourteen people were allegedly involved in the attack on the two officers in front of 220 West 42nd St. in Times Square on Jan. 27, according to the NYPD. All of the suspects involved in the attack are migrants, police said.

Six suspects have been arrested. All but one were released from custody without bail, which has resulted in a lot of criticism. Brito is the only suspect who remains in custody.
