QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Investigators have identified a suspect accused of a fatal hit-and-run in Queens earlier this month.
Jackson Lima-Artega, 33, from Elizabeth, New Jersey is wanted in connection to the crash that occurred on Feb. 1, authorities report.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Yeny Contreras-Baquedano, 60, was allegedly struck by Lima-Artega driving a BMW X6 while crossing the street at 37th Avenue at around 6:43 a.m., according to the NYPD. Lima-Artega then fled the scene, leaving the woman lying in the street, authorities said.
First responders rushed the victim to Elmhurst Hospital Center where she later died. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
