Suspect attempts to steal e-bike and fails in attack in the Bronx: NYPD

MATT HAVEN, The Bronx (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a man they said beat up a 65-year-old man while failing to steal his electric bicycle in the Bronx on Monday, according to authorities.

The suspect walked up to the victim and started to punch and kick him near Concord Avenue and East 149th Street. He demanded the e-bike but couldn't start it, running away on foot around 4 a.m., according to police.

The victim went to the hospital for treatment, according to police.
