Suspect accused of stealing car with child inside in Brooklyn: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A suspect is accused of stealing a car with a child inside of it in Brooklyn on Friday, according to the NYPD.

Police said it happened on Sutter Avenue around 10:40 a.m. The suspect allegedly drove the car to Liberty Avenue and Wyona Street, where they were taken into custody, according to authorities.

Police said the child was recovered and taken to the 75^th Precinct to be evaluated by EMS.

The motive for theft is unclear. Police have not revealed details about the suspect.
